Yanina Vignoni, Pharm.D.

With a decade of experience, Yanina Vignoni is a dedicated pharmacist with a natural talent for helping patients achieve better health. She currently lives in Florida, where she conducts case management on Medicare and Medicaid members at risk for opioid overutilization.

Vignoni works on the overutilization review and monitoring team at CenterWell Pharmacy®. The program evaluates patients who are at risk for overusing opioids to determine if they would benefit from limitations on these medications. Vignoni collaborates closely with their healthcare providers to help keep patients safe.

Education

After completing her bachelor’s degree in biomedical science from the University of Puerto Rico, she received her Pharm.D. (doctorate in pharmacy) from the same institution. Today, Vignoni is working on her Master of Business Administration degree from Aspen University.

Additionally, Vignoni is a Certified Diabetes Educator and a Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist.

Past work

Vignoni’s passion for helping patients began in 2013, when she joined CenterWell Pharmacy as a screening pharmacist in Glendale, Arizona. In that role, she verified prescription safety for patients. She also holds pharmacy licenses in Florida, Arizona, Louisiana and Puerto Rico.

Vignoni is a bilingual pharmacist who is committed to improving health outcomes for Spanish-speaking patients.

Awards and recognition

Vignoni received star awards—an internal accolade for employees who excel at their position—in 2015, 2017 and 2021.

She also participated in the 2021–2022 Clinician Educator program and spent time with the Community of Practice Mentoring Circle.

In 2023, Vignoni was selected for the Health First Experience at Disney Institute (HFX) program, which enables participants to learn about Disney culture and apply the Disney magic to an internal project. Vignoni’s project focused on improving efficiency in case management reviews.

Personal life

Since Vignoni has spent her entire life living in warm weather climates, she has developed a true appreciation for the outdoors. One of her favorite hobbies is hiking.

She completed the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim hike, a humbling experience that took discipline, initiative and determination.
