Transfer prescriptions to CenterWell Pharmacy before your plan starts

Did you know that you can transfer your prescriptions to CenterWell Pharmacy™ before your Humana plan begins?

Transferring your prescriptions to CenterWell Pharmacy and a 90-day supply could save you time and a trip to the store. It could even help you save money, too!

2 ways to get a head start on transferring your prescriptions 

You can fill your existing prescriptions as new prescriptions online

Step 1: Sign in to your secure CenterWell Pharmacy account. If your plan hasn’t gone into effect, you’ll see a message below the top banner that will tell you when your plan starts.

Step 2: Select the “Fill a new prescription” button from the self-service toolkit on the right side of your homepage, or select “Fill new Rx” under “My Rx” in the menu at the top of the page.

Step 3: Enter your prescription information including the dosage, the amount you take and your prescriber’s name. If you don’t see your prescriber’s name, you can add it here by selecting “Add a new prescriber.” To transfer more prescriptions, just repeat the process! You can transfer up to 10 prescriptions at a time.

Step 4: Tap “Continue” at the bottom of the page. Next, you may see a page letting you know if there are any generic or alternative options available for your prescription. These options work the same way as the brand-name version, and are just as effective at treating the same conditions. They could also help you save money on your prescription.

Step 5: We’ll ask you to double check your shipping, payment and prescription information. When you’re ready, select “Place order” and we’ll reach out to your prescriber to approve your transfer requests.

Once your new Humana plan starts, your orders will process and you’ll receive your medicines within 7–10 days. In the meantime, you can check the status of your order by going to the “My Orders” page.

Once your plan starts, transferring a prescription gets even faster! We’ll tell you if you have prescriptions available to transfer right on your homepage when you sign in. From there, you can simply select the medicines you’d like to transfer—we’ll take care of the rest.

Or, you can transfer your prescriptions in a snap in the mobile app

Use the CenterWell Pharmacy mobile app to take photos of your pill bottle and get an easy head start on transferring your prescriptions.

Step 1: Open the app and sign in, then select “Transfer a prescription” on the “My dashboard” screen. If you’re not ready to sign in, you can also select “Transfer Rx as guest” on the sign-in screen.

Step 2: Fill in your personal information, including your contact information and shipping address.

Step 3: Select the plus signs to take up to 4 photos of your prescription label or pill bottle. Please make sure all the details of your prescription are clearly visible. Then, add your prescriber’s name and phone number.

Step 4: Select “Submit” and we’ll take it from there! Repeat these simple steps for each prescription you’d like to transfer.

Your order will process once your plan starts and you’ll receive your prescriptions within 7–10 days of your new plan’s start date. Once your plan starts, you can also track your order in the mobile app by going to the “Orders” tab.
